Trailing Comma Studios
We are an independent team of three, established in 2026.
Our aim is to make games that are fun, easy to run and open to all.
Modern games are extraordinary, and they ask a lot before you can play them:
a current-gen console or a machine to match it, and sixty or seventy pounds on top of
that. There is room alongside all of it for something smaller. We make games that run on
hardware people already own, cost what they are actually worth, and ask nothing else of
you once you have bought them. Fun first, fair by default.
Our name comes from the small characters developers can never agree on
– harmless in one place, a broken build in another. Trailing commas epitomise how
much the little details matter.

Meet the Team
Rob Kinsey
Founder
I have loved games for as long as I can remember. Everything else has
been the long route back to them.
I started out as a DJ, learning to read a room and decipher how people
enjoy themselves. Then restaurant management, where a good night depended on a
hundred invisible things going right at once. Next was recruitment,
which taught me more about people than either. None of it was wasted:
pattern-spotting, systems that hold up under pressure and a stubborn need to
understand how a thing works turn out to be the same instincts that make a decent
engineer.
I still do that work today, consulting as a DevOps engineer and
building the pipelines and infrastructure that keep software shipping. Every move
added another skill, and eventually I had enough of them to start making the games
I’d always wanted to.
I have nothing against blockbuster – I play and love plenty of
them. But there is always room for something else, something smaller and more
accessible. That can be played when you only have a spare ten minutes, as well as
full weekend.
